How many iCare packages can I send? ›

One package per quarter is allowed – all packages must be under 30 lbs, including the weight of packaging.

Your gift is in process! Once your order is prepared and received by your loved one, you will receive a delivery confirmation. While we would like to deliver all orders very quickly, based on your order placement date, facility, delivery schedule and protocols, it can take up to 30 days for your gift to be delivered.

There is no limit. The Post Office is paid to deliver your packages and they'll have to store it for you to pickup.

Amazon.com makes deliveries to prisons. However, we recommend that you contact the prison first to confirm that they accept deliveries and to ask about any special policies they have. The label on the outside of the package should only state the destination address, Amazon.com company name, and return address.

Quarterly Packages are packages that consist primarily of clothing, tennis shoes, food, and health and beauty items. Inmates in the California Department of Corrections that are classified as Privilege Group A/B are allowed one 30 pound Quarterly Package each quarter.

Once you place your order, we make every attempt to deliver it on the next scheduled delivery day according to the facility's approved delivery schedule. If you place your order after the facility's weekly delivery day, your gift will be delivered on the next available delivery day.

Inmates are allowed to receive one (1) package every three (3) months. All packages must be ordered from an approved vendor.

Private Residence — Sending a care package to a private residence is easy. Ask your recipient for their address or, if you want it to be a surprise, get it from someone close to them. If you aren't comfortable sending your package to a hospital, send it to their residence so they can unbox it when they get home.

For shipping large boxes and packages up to 70lbs the USPS ground service is a good option, but make sure you check your package is within the USPS weight and size limits. Anything over 70lbs and you'll need to consider one of the large and heavy courier services from FedEx or UPS.
