effects can be. unfortunately rachel as you and i have discussed many times people are overusing medications these medications if they're even going to be considered needs to be reserved for those who are extremely overweight, high risk for the chronic medical conditions, and is haveo be taken correctly have to be under advice of the -- physician. because if you're just taking them off label you're going to the med spas you don't know what's going happen and we don't know a lot of long-term side effects. we know severe nausea, vomiting dehydration these are common. but what about the long-term side effects that's still a big question mark here. >> loss of muscle is one of them a lot of people experiencing -- stomach issues that are long-term. from using it just seems like we're not hearing enough about what the -- what the side effects are. but also that we're not getting to the root cause of obesity and our problem by just taking injection and getting quick fix. it is all in the food. that's my concern.

by the way, we reached out to ozempic manufacture as you know and they gave us this statement. they said we understand and empathize with health challenge this is patient has faced we care deeply about safety and well being of patient who is attack our medicines strongly recommend all patients maintain close contact with their health care professionals for proper diagnosis, appropriate treatment ongoing guidance, and careful monitoring. meanwhile they're making a lot of money. make no mistake. so let's talk about this other issue. because we were just talking about food -- there's a top nutritionist that came out pin pointing most harmful additives in processed foods because there's now a claim these ingredients are behind a shocking rise in young bowl cancers i guess a 30% rise and they're saying this is coming from the chemicals and this -- this synthetic ingredients added to ultra processed food are you also concerned about that

connection between cancer and these chemicals? >> well you can't deny it. there's a rise in incidents in cancer especially amongst young people and when it comes to small bowl cancer particularly, there's a geographical dispearty meaning when there's countries with higher gdp like the united states we have more small bowel car insurances with higher rates of obesity metabolic drum and ultra processed foods than anywhere else in the world these ingredients that that nutritionist is talking about that are allowed here in the united states. less than half of those emulsifiers are allowed we are far too lax on what we're allowing putting into the food here but it is not -- it is not realistic rachel that people can go outside to get farm fresh eggs and fresh vegetables from the garden. here in the united states, we rely way too heavily on ultra processed foods we need to make sure people have access to healthier, natural foods, so that we can all live a healthier

life and that's what the make america healthy campaign is all about. especially you know there are things you can do to improve your gut health you can take ginger less ultra processed foods, anything that has that long shelf life in a pantry probably has some of these harmful chemicals on it we have studies showing that there's a correlation there. proving a causation is a little bit different but absolutely a part of our diets and we have to stop relying on these quick fixes like some of these medications to lose weight. it is all about lifestyle. rachel: i think it is real realistic they could get healthier food in europe they give you money to go to the farmers market if you're poor. versus you know, giving you food stamps for coke and other processed foods anyway, nicole great having you on. awesome information. see ya. >> thanks for having me. rachel: you got it we have a big show ahead stick with us.

copd hasn't been pretty. it's tough to breathe and tough to keep wondering if this is as good as it gets. but trelegy has shown me that there's still beauty and breath to be had. because with three medicines in one inhaler, trelegy keeps my airways open and prevents future flare-ups. and with one dose a day, trelegy improves lung function so i can breathe more freely all day and night. trelegy won't replace a rescue inhaler for sudden breathing problems. tell your doctor if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure before taking it. do not take trelegy more than prescribed. trelegy may increase your risk of thrush, pneumonia, and osteoporosis. call your doctor if worsened breathing, chest pain, mouth or tongue swelling, problems urinating, vision changes, or eye pain occur. ♪ what a wonderful world ♪ ask your doctor about once-daily trelegy for copd because breathing should be beautiful.
